What is Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter - It is commonly known as Cupuaçu Butter. It is a fat extracted from the fruit seeds of the Cupuaçu tree and it is native to the Amazonian Rainforest in Northern Brazil.
Why we use it: We use it in our HH Moisturizing Curling Butter because it is rich in antioxidants and can absorb harmful UVA/ UVB rays which in turn helps to keep hair strands strong and healthy. It is also high in flavonoid concentration that helps to neutralize free radicals in the environment. In addition it is also lightweight and non comedogenic leaving your hair feeling soft and not greasy.
Other benefits: Cupuaçu Butter is rich in Vitamin A, B and C. It contains essential fatty acids, minerals such as selenium, calcium and phytonutrients. It is highly known for its high moisturising properties, promotes elasticity, strengthens the hair shafts, all while helping to retain water which in turn helps to prevent moisture loss, keeping the hair hydrated, soft and minimizing breakage.
